VesicALL®

VesicALL® is a versatile and highly effective proprietary technology which can be used in the formulation of anti-cancer  treatment drugs.  It can be used to formulate a wide range of other drugs and it is particularly useful for the delivery of insoluble or toxic drugs.

VesicALL® technology has the potential to improve vaccines by:

  • Reducing toxicity of anti-cancer and other drugs by means of sustained release
  • Enabling bolus injections instead of infusion
  • Reducing treatment costs by avoiding hospitalisation (eliminating the risk of anaphylaxis)
  • Prolonging the active life of anti-cancer drugs in the blood circulation

How does VesicALL® work?

VesicALL® works by entrapping drugs in liposomes.  The liposome vehicles used in VesicALL® are similar in composition and structure to those used in ImuXen®.  They include phosphatidyl choline and cholesterol, which are naturally found in the human body and have a long history of safe use in humans.

How is VesicALL® used in anti-cancer drug treatment?

VesicALL® is particularly useful for the nanoencapsulation of drugs that are toxic to healthy cells of the body.  These drugs are used for the treatment of cancer.  The liposomal entrapment method used in VesicALL® allows sustained release of these toxic drugs away from the site of injection.  It also prolongs the active life of the drug in the blood circulation.
